Modern Medical Furniture – Laminates and Engineering Polymers

A modern range of hospital ward furniture aims to combine a fresh appearance with quality and practical use. Its design is intended to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients during their treatment.

Modern hospital ward furniture with bedside cabinets and wardrobes

Materials, design and everyday use

The furniture is designed to make everyday tasks more convenient for patients, nurses and doctors. Smooth, rounded lines, engineering polymers (also known as technopolymers), warm laminate colours and soft rubber or recessed handles give the bedside cabinets and wardrobes a distinctive appearance. These features are intended to support practical use and safety.

A wide choice of configurations allows the items in the range to accommodate the different requirements of hospital wards.

Bedside cabinets and wardrobes

The bedside cabinet range offers several functional options for different departments: single-sided or double-sided cabinets, a side bottle holder, models with or without an overbed table, and either soft handles or handles recessed into the doors.

The hospital wardrobes are described as being made from multilayer plastic laminate. They are available for one, two or three users and can have different internal layouts. Each wardrobe model has a matching overhead storage unit.

Bedside cabinet construction

According to the original product description, the bedside cabinet body is made from epoxy powder-coated steel sheet, with its thickness specified as “8/10” (0.8 mm). The cabinet top is made from 8 mm multilayer plastic laminate. On request, a moulded ABS plastic top is available with raised edges and an integrated towel rail.

The range is presented as the result of many years of practical experience and technological development, with attention to patients’ needs at the centre of the design.
